英语词汇：admire易错用法说明
一、不用作不及物动词
通常只作及物动词，通常用于 admire (sb for) sth, 意为“因为……而钦佩或赞美某人”。如：
We all admire your taste in art. 我们都钦佩你的艺术鉴赏力。
I admired his immense physical strength．我很佩服他巨大的体力。
The industrious 1 Dutch are admired by their neighbors. 勤劳的荷兰人受到邻国人的崇敬。
比较：
人们赞美他的诚实。
正：We admired his honesty.
正：We admired him for his honesty.
我们佩服他事业有成。
正：I admire his success in business.
正：I admire him for his success in business.
二、其后不接that从句
其后一般不接 that 从句，但有时可接 what 从句。如：
我们对他所做的事很钦佩。
正：We admire (him for) what he has done.
误：We admire that he is honest.
adj.勤劳的，刻苦的，奋发的
- If the tiller is industrious,the farmland is productive.人勤地不懒。
- She was an industrious and willing worker.她是个勤劳肯干的员工。
