A body double is a general term for someone who substitutes for the credited actor of a character in any recorded visual medium, whether videotape or film. The term is most commonly used in the context of head-to-toe (or nearly) shots involving nudity.
“替身”（body double）通指在录像带或电影等作品中代替知名演员出演某一角色的替身演员。Body double这个词多用来指代“裸替”。
More specific terms are often used in special cases; a stunt 1 double is used for dangerous or sophisticated sequences. This is in contrast to a stand-in who replaces an actor for non-filming purposes such as scene arrangement and lighting 2 adjustments.
具体情况不同，“替身”的说法也不同，危险或复杂场景的替身叫做stunt double（特技替身）。电影拍摄之前搭景以及调试灯光时代替演员到场的替身则叫做stand-in（光替）。
