   1、请看托福写作第89题:If you could travel back in time to meet a famous person from history, what person would you like to meet? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice. 如果让你见一位历史名人,你会选择谁?


  同学们的答案丰富多彩,有选择孔子的,有选择秦始皇的,还有选择武则天、杨贵妃、西施、貂蝉的。其实,这道题我们选择谁都可以,只要符合一个前提:这个人我们熟悉。因为,只有熟悉这个人,我们才能够做到有话可说。好,我们就以孔子为例。于是,我们就写出以下一段文字。
  Confucius was a Chinese thinker and social philosopher, whose teachings and philosophy have deeply influenced Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and Vietnamese thought and life. His philosophy emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice and sincerity 1. These values gained prominence 2 in China over other doctrines 3, such as Legalism or Taoism during the Han Dynasty. Confucius' thoughts have been developed into a system of philosophy known as Confucianism. It was introduced to Europe by the Jesuit Matteo Ricci, who was the first to Latinise the name as "Confucius." His teachings may be found in the Analects of Confucius, a collection of "brief aphoristic 4 fragments", which was compiled many years after his death. Modern historians do not believe that any specific documents can be said to have been written by Confucius, but for nearly 2,000 years he was thought to be the editor or author of all the Five Classics such as the Classic of Rites 5, and the Spring and Autumn Annals。

  通过上面的例子,一种题材就可以做20道相关的题目,只要选对。而很大一部分提高了写作复习,并且可以做到举一反三效果,还可以在托福听力中选题材。
