one的N种用法：不仅仅是“一”

一根手指头数的出来的one，它的用法，可能你一双手也数不过来。英语one可不只是123……相信小编，它可真没你想得那么简单。除了做数词的多种用法外，one常用作不定代词，其用法主要如下：
1. 泛指人们或任何人：One must have a dream 1. 人一定要有梦想。
2.用来避免重复已提到过的或是听者已知的事物：
I’d like an apple. Are you having one? 我想吃个苹果，你要一个吗?
3.表示某个不确定的人或物，相当于“不定冠词+名词”：
I’d like one with a garden. 我想要一座带花园的。(the house)
4. 表示“其中一个”：
Here are two apples. One is for Mary, the other is for Lily 2. 这里有两个苹果，一个给玛丽，一个给丽丽。
5.a one(举止)有趣的人：Oh, you are a one! 哈，你真是个活宝。
6.the one about sth 玩笑：Have you heard the one about Chrismas. 你听过那个关于圣诞节的笑话吗?
7.be a one for (doing) sth(乐于)长于做某事的人：
My brother is a one for fishing 4. 我哥哥很会钓鱼。
8.固定短语：one after the other 依次地 one after another一个接一个地
注意：
1.不定代词one只能替代可数名词
2.one和它所替代的名词或名词词组中心词的“数”可以不一致，在句法功能上也可以不一致：
She’d prefer 5 the red bottle to the black ones. 她喜欢红瓶子，而不喜欢那些黑瓶子。
3.one必须有前置定语，才能同物主代词、名词所有格或数词连用：
All these toys are too expensive. I want a cheaper one.这些玩具都太贵了，我想要便宜一点的。
4.one如果同a连用，通常要有前置定语;如果同the连用，必须有前置或后置定语：
He wants a bigger one. 他要大一点的。
This photo is not so good as 3 the one we took 6 yesterday. 这张照片没有我们昨天拍的那张好。
5.one的省略：
a.当one的前置定语只有this, these, that, those, either 7, neither 8, another, the last, the next, which等限定词时：
I was 9 the last (one) to arrive here. 我是最后一个到这儿的。
b.当one前有定冠词及和上下文形成对比的形容词时：
I’d prefer the large apples to the small (ones). 我喜欢大苹果，而不喜欢小苹果。
c.当one前有the加比较级和最高级形容词时：
Jim said 10 that his car was the most expensive (one). 吉姆说他的车子是最贵的。
n.梦；梦想；v.做梦；向往
- I remembered my grandfather in my dream last night.昨晚我梦见了我的外祖父。
- It's my dream to win a Nobel Prize.我的理想是获得诺贝尔奖。
conj.按照；如同
- He got work in a hotel as a waiter.他在一家旅馆找到了当服务生的工作。
- In the hotel,the old men were drinking away as usual.在旅馆里，这些老人和往常一样喝个不停。
n.捕鱼；钓鱼，鱼业；adj.钓鱼的
- We are interested in fishing.我们对钓鱼感兴趣。
- Let's go fishing today.我们今天去钓鱼吧。
vt.带，载(take的过去式)
- I took my dog for a walk along the river.我带着狗沿那条河散步。
- It took me about two hours to cook the meat.我花了大约两个小时来煮这些肉。
adj.任一，两方的；prep.任一，随便任一个；conj.或，也
- I have bought two books,you can have either.我买了两本书，你要哪一本都可以。
- I don't think either of them are at home.我想他们中任何一个都不在家。
adj.皆不，两不；int.两者都不；conj.既非，既不
- I don't know that neither.那个我也不知道。
- He doesn't smoke neither does he drink.他既不抽烟也不喝酒。
