   shall和will这一对助动词都用可于将来时态的表达,但它们还有一些用法的相异之处,分不清楚怎么办?看看牛津博客怎么说~


  1.The traditional rule in standard British English is that shall is used with first person pronouns (i.e. I and we) to form the future tense, while will is used with second and third person forms (i.e. you, he, she, it, they). For example:
  1.标准英式英语中的传统规定为shall用于第一人称代词(如I,we)来构成将来时,而will用于第二人称和第三人称的形式(如you,he,she,it,they)。举例:
  I shall be late.
  我将会晚到。
  They will not have enough food.
  他们将没有足够的食物。
  2.However, when it comes to expressing a strong determination to do something, the roles are reversed: will is used with the first person, and shall with the second and third. For example:

  I will not tolerate such behaviour.
  我将再也不会容忍这样的行为。
  You shall go to the ball!

  In practice, though, the two words are used more or less interchangeably, and this is now an acceptable part of standard British and American English.
