Wang Lijun, Chongqing's former vice-mayor and police chief, has been charged with bending the law for selfish ends, defection, abuse of power and bribe-taking by the Chengdu City People's Procuratorate.
重庆市原副市长、公安局原局长王立军涉嫌徇私枉法、叛逃、滥用职权、受贿犯罪一案，已由成都市人民检察院提起公诉。
公诉的四项罪名分别为徇私枉法（bending the law for selfish ends）、叛逃（defection）、滥用职权（abuse of power/power abuse），以及受贿（bribe-taking）。
检察机关指出，王立军在履行职务期间，without the approval of authorities （未经批准）或forging approval documents（伪造批准文件），非法使用technical reconnaissance measures（技术侦察措施）。
