a /an, every, one, another, each, either, this, that, such a, many a, etc.
Each of them has two books.
You can read either book.
  these, those, many, such, other,
  a few /few /fewer /fewest, a (great /good / large /small) number of, several
one of, all (of), some /any (of), most (of), a lot of, lots of, the rest of, plenty of
3.之后既可接单数又可接复数: the, no, his, her, their, my, etc
No flowers in the garden.
  No one is here.
  no直接修饰名词, 不能与其他限定词同时出现;
The mechanism 1 by which brain cells 2 store memories is ---- clearly understood.
  (A) none
  (B) no
  (C) not
  (D) nor
My two red cars
Manufacutrers of consumer 3 goods often change the styles of their products.
  这里用their 而不用 the
  a (large /small /great /considerable /remarkable) number of, a variety of, a set of, a few,

  • The bones and muscles are parts of the mechanism of the body.
  • The mechanism of the machine is very complicated.
  • Once in the bloodstream, the bacteria adhere to the surface of the red cells.
  • an amorphous mass of cells with no identity at all
  • The government instituted a consumer protection agency.
  • The consumer should keep the following considerations in mind.
