China is calling for all parties in the Ukraine crisis to implement 1 the Minsk agreement and to find a comprehensive and lasting 2 solution.
On Tuesday Permanent Representative of China to the UN, Liu Jieyi, said that China supports the agreement reached last week by the leaders of Russia, Germany, France, and Ukraine in Minsk. Liu, who is also the President of the Security Council for February 2015, added that China hopes all parties can still find a way to respect the Minsk ceasefire deal. He called on the UN Security Council to scale up support to bring peace and stability to Ukraine.
Liu stressed that a political solution that respects the interests of different regions and ethnicities is the only way to end the conflict. And he said that China is willing to play a constructive 3 role in solving the crisis.
