The Worrler of Qi
A man of the state of Qi was afraid that the sky would fall down and the earth would cave in．The thought that he would not be able to find shelter when that happened worried him so much that he had no appetite for food and slept very badly．Another man was very concerned about his worried frame 1 of mind so he went to see him with the intention of straightening him out．“The sky is merely a mass of vapour 2．No place is without vapour．When you breathe，walk or rest，you are moving about in this vapour all day long．Why are you afraid that the sky will fall down？”
“If the sky is really a mass of vapour，won't the sun，the moon and the stars fall down？”
“The sun，the moon and the stars are also made of vapour．The only difference is that they shine Even if they fall down，they will not hurt anyone．”
“Then what about the earth caving in？”
“The earth is a big mass of soil and rocks．There are rocks and soil everywhere；no place is without them ．When you walk or jump，you are moving about on them all day long．Why are you worried thatit will cave in？
