Russian President Vladimir Putin has met China's State Councillor Yang Jiechi in Moscow. Yang Jiechi is attending a high-ranking security meeting of BRICS nations.
Putin spoke highly about President Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow earlier this month. He said China and Russia had together sent an important signal of maintaining the outcome of the World War Two victory as well as world peace.
Putin said Russia is willing to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and China. He vowed to enhance cooperation with China in both regional and international issues.
