1. 在句子的主干中，that为代词，指代approach, 此处译为“方式”最为贴切，因此主干的意思很简单。
2. 句子另一个难点就是代词that后紧跟了一个which引导的定语从句，令人在视觉上感到奇怪，其实that在此就是approach跟定语从句就是必然，否则就不知所云了3. 句中还有两个省略了whom的定语从句，将之补全如下：
