You know, it can be hard to find the love of your life in the cold crowded city, but just in time of Valentine's Day, today's style editor Bobbie Thomas tried one way of getting a date. She went to a speed dating event that has special requirements. Bobbie, good morning to you.

What was it like?

What was it like? Um, it was definitely 1 interesting. Yes, I did participate. This was an assignment and it was held at an upscale restaurant here in New York City, and recently, you know, the requirements are very simple. For men, it was all about having a big bank account. And for women, good looks.

"Sandy, hi, you look so rich! I mean great."
"She could be attractive with a good personality, or not attractive with a good personality."
"So, which one is she?"
"attractive."
"But not beautiful, right?"

"Which would you rather marry? A rich guy or a poor?"
"I think I'd rather marry a rich one."

It's long been the secret goal of many on the dating scene. And now a company called Pocket Change has made it official, posting speed dating events for beautiful women and rich men.

"Why wealthy men and beautiful women? The reason that we are doing this is because we really attempted to simplify dating. "

The criteria 2 for men: guys who are 25 and under must make at least 200,000 dollars a year; and men between ages of 26 and 30，,300,000 a year; older than 30, well the required income level then jumps to 500,000.

"For the women, the application process is very simple, you need to be beautiful. End of story, you go to the website, you upload five pictures. Those five pictures are judged. If you make the cut, you are accepted. "

And the participants felt the requirements were fair.

"At first, you know, I was kind of hesitant at those a little maybe you're shallow 3, but you know, then I started to think about it, now it's like, you know, it'd be quite a great way to meet a really good-looking girl."

"Coming to event like this allows me, um, piece of mind, that the people who I'll hear tonight have been carefully screened."

In just 2 weeks the company screened 950 applications, narrowing the field down to just 40 men and 40 women.

"I think that the concept 4 works 5 because it is so simple. What do men want? They want beauty. What do women want? They prefer successful men."

"Guess what? This is New York. It's a very tough city just like any other city with dating. It's very hard to meet the right person."

"Possibility of meeting a lot of wonderful, smart, successful men and .. that's always appealing."

We have 3 minutes with each of our dates to see if beauty and bank accounts matter.

"So, what did you wanna be when you grew up?"
"What did I wanna be?"
"Yeah, did you have like: Would you wanna get an astronaut? "

So, does wealth and beauty equal love?

"Do I think that there would be relationships after this? Absolutely!"

"These people are coming to hopefully find a committed relationship that's going to eventually down the road lead towards marriage."

"And will I find my husband tonight? Who knows, You know?"

(I can't care about anything but you............)

Alright, that's always my first question. Did you wanna be an astronaut? Yeah, here you are going……

Is that why I am something?

Did you meet somebody that you like by doing this?

No, I did not (No.) make a match, I mean unfortunately I still believe in Cupid, like kids believe in Santa Claus. And you know, for me, I would recommend that you will be well-rounded. A lot of the gentlemen as soon as I revealed 6 that I love my job and I was financially independent, they were at lost for words.

So they weren't interested any more if you're independent?

Yes, I am nowhere to say, and I think, you know, just as much as a woman might rely too much on her beauty. A guy can rely too much on his bank account. And you know at the end of the day, I really believe that attraction when you get the butterflies and you are so nervous and you can't speak that trumps 7 any black card, private jet 8 or anything at the end of the day.

Do you know if anybody made a match that night?


Pocket Change did say that about 10 people went on dates this past week, and you know, interestingly enough, they say there are equal opportunity services and the next event is going to be Sugar Mama Speed Dating.

So what does that mean?

45,er.. to be 45 years and older, (women?) 45-year-old and older women and with 4 million dollars or more and they are gonna find guys 28 years, you know, of 28 years old and younger.

The women need 4 million dollars? These guys are only 500,000.

Yeah, exactly. I don't know. (haha...)

That they make up the rules, I mean, it's definitely...

And nowhere did I hear the word love.

No, I mean the most interesting thing I heard was, um, you know an older gentleman that was established actually offered me a purse in exchange for being his nurse. So...
