A kite，which had been taken by the wind to soar above the clouds，called out to a butterfly down below in the valley．“I can assure you that I can scarcely make you out．Confess now that you feel envious 1 when you watch my so lofty flight．”
“Envious？Not at all．You have no right to think so much of your-self．You fly high，it is true；but you are always tied to a string．Such a life，my friend，is very far from happy．But I fly wherever I wish though I really don't have much to be proud of．I should not like to have to conduce to someone else's foolish amusement all my life long．”
