A State Council investigation 1 team, joined by over 20 prominent experts, is undertaking 2 a full investigation into the Yangtze River disaster.
The 60-member team has interviewed the survivors 3, including the sunken cruise ship's captain and the chief engineer, as well as the ship's designer and witnesses. Experts have also collected and analyzed 4 meteorological data, and ship information, including its design drawings and certification papers. The team has also boarded the ship to gather evidence including photos and computer data.
Simulation experiments will also likely be conducted. The investigation team says it will continue to expand its resources and make every effort so that no detail is overlooked.
