Foreign Ministry spokeswomen Hua Chunying said on Wednesday that China is continuing rescue work in Nepal, having so far saved over 900 people. Three military helicopters have been dispatched and more relief supplies are on the way.
"As of May the 3rd, three Chinese medical teams have provided medical service to over 2,234 people, saved 969, and trained 714 medical staff. The Chinese government has sent a second batch of relief to Nepal on Wednesday, after the first supply of emergency aid provided by the Chinese military arrived three days ago. The military also dispatched three helicopters to help with the rescue operation, and the transportion of cargo. A rescue team from China's Armed Police Force has also repaired the 30 kilometer long China-Nepal highway," she said.
