Hong Kong's health authorities 1 say 31 out of the 33 suspected cases of MERS reported in the 24 hours before noon Wednesday have tested negative.
Officials at the Center for Health Protection said that two patients are still being tested, but that as of Thursday morning, no confirmed case of MERS has been found in Hong Kong. And starting from today, the center will update the number of suspected cases twice a day.
Fear spread in the SAR after a potential infection was found involving a 22-year-old woman. But she was among the 31 cases that came back negative.
