Coming up Jenna Bush and Henry Hager and you had a chance to ask about the famous but inscrutable meeting of which Henry asked for the hand.
Well, the atmosphere was right there, can’t pay it, so you had to ask about that. And the President had indicated that he'd make Henry sweat a little bit, knowing he was gonna ask for Jenna’s hand, and so we asked the president about it.
Henry came early the day and said I’d like to see you.
You knew?
I knew. Because I asked Jenna earlier that if Henry ever asked you to merry him, would you say yes? She said, absolutely, I love him. And he came in and gave we very a presentation. (Had he sweat?) Well, yes,I bet 1 not a lot.
How long did you make him sweat?
Not too much. (Coz I had personal experience in this.) Hehehe…Sure…Hehehe…I I I…
The way he made him sweat was to say yes immediately before Henry had the chance to say. He was all prepared for this, whether he wanted to say it, George just said oh, ok.
No, I actually said you got a deal.
President said, another President said, I actually, he said, I said sure so fast that Henry was sitting there, saying, well Mr. President, I have more talking about here. He got other things to say.
My speech that I worried about all night long.
So nervous. Can you imagine that? Not just the father, but the first president?
Oh, Yes, yes, he will tell you good about everything.
I was so nervous, you know, and he was gonna be the president the rest of my life, you know that longer than the president of the United States, but I can just imagine that young man’s horror 2.
And I was the same way which I used to be years ago when I asked now father-in-law 3 offered my wife’s hand, I was wohu, huhu, (I can think about it.) Exactly.
I love thinking two of you trembling before these fathers. I do. White house wedding?
They still don’t, well, she just came off the book tour, I asked, I think they no. But, she wouldn’t say. They just came off, Jenna just came off the book tour, so she said we’re gonna talk about it over the family holiday.
