或直接用动词deteriorate 1 increasingly/day by day来表达。

用abuse表达“弊端”是可以的，一般我们要在不同语境选择不同的词语。
常用的有：malpractice; abuse; corrupt 2 practice; ill; pitfall
常用的表达有，供参考：
e.g.
avoid the rise of malpractices and evils 避免弊端redress 3 social abuses矫正社会弊端
wipe out political abuses根除政治弊端 ills of higher education高等教育的弊端
pitfalls 4 of the system体制中的弊端
