She Walks in Beauty
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry 1 skies；
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes；
Thus mellowed 2 to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy 3 day denies．
One shade more, one ray less,
Had half impaired 4 the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven 5 tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face；

How pure, how dear their dwelling-place．
