I’m a bit 1 shy 2 when I have to speak in English. I’m a little worried 3 about making mistakes 4. I also still lack 5 confidence 6. Many of my friends don’t worry about mistakes. They just talk and talk. They always get their message across 7, even 8 if their grammar 9 is wrong. I think this is the best thing to do. My teacher always says it’s best to learn by doing. If I don’t try to speak English, I’ll never be able 10 to use it when I need it. One thing I started doing recently 11 was 12 talking to myself 13. I have short conversations 14 with myself. I think it works 15. I also make short stories about people and say them aloud 16. I do this in my room, of course 17. People would 18 think I’m crazy 19 if I did 20 it in class or on the train.
