I wanna turn now to the Friday moments on the court of Wimbledon, how scare for Serena Williams, she became dizzy and disoriented in the middle of a match, shocking spectators 1 who watch turn concerned.
Something is not right with Serena, the drama unfolding for 17 time grand slam winner Serena Williams as she was playing a doubles match with her sister, Venus. The problem started even before the match, with Williams receiving medical attention courtside after a shaky warmup. Once play got underway, Williams is still not her usual self.
She can’t even bounce the ball and catch it. I consider this dangerous.
After losing the first 3 games, Venus led her sister to her chair.
She’s not well and I can’t imagine they are gonna let this match continue.
Officials eventually calling the match and Williams walking off the court appearing to be in tears. Tournament official saying, the cause of Serena’s behavior, a viral illness. And Williams later releasing a statement through her publicist, saying I am heartbroken I’m not able to continue in the tournament, I thought I could rally 2 this morning, because I really wanted to compete, but this bug 3 just got the best of me.
And we are so hoping Serena is feeling better and back full strength in time to defend her title at the US open.
