A donkey 1 once found a lion's skin．He dressed himself up in it and began to run about in the village，frightening everyone he met．Men，women，animals and chickens all fled away as fast as they could．“Hee－haw．” laughed the donkey．“This is better than carrying loads of wood．See how frightened they are．Hee－haw，bee－haw！”
“So that's who you are，”said a fox who had been hiding behind a wall．“You'd better keep your mouth shut if you want to be a lion．”
