第一、我们可以说keep up one's spirits。我们来看一个例子：In trouble, good company helps to keep up your spirits. 在困难中，好友能使你振作精神。
注解1：In trouble这个介词短语是“有麻烦”“倒霉”“处于困境”“陷入困境”“处于不幸中”的意思。例如：1. Don't lose your head（慌乱） if your team is in trouble. 如果你的团队有麻烦了，你也不要惊慌失措。2. They always turn to（转而求助于，转而求教于） me when they are in trouble.每当碰到困难时，他们总是回来找我。3. Now I'm in trouble. I shall have to bank on （指望，依靠，依赖）your support. 我现在遇到麻烦了，我将不得不依赖您的支持。4. I'm in trouble with （在......危险的处境中）the police over drugs. 我因毒品事落入警方手中。5. You'll be in trouble if you don't watch your step.（小心行事，谨慎行事）. 你要是不谨慎从事就要倒霉了。
注解2：Company是“同伴”“同伙”的意思。His father asked him to avoid bad company. 他父亲要他不要交坏朋友。Company作为“公司”的意思解时，是可数名词，但是作作名词“客人”“同伴”的意思解时，前面不能加冠词a或the，也不能用复数形式。
第二、我们可以说keep one's chin up。Chin是“下巴”的意思。平时生活中我们走在路上把昂首挺胸，下巴微扬，看起来就很有精神。Keep one's chin up这个习语很生动形象地表示出“振作精神”“抖擞精神”的意思。我们来看一个例子：A little smile from our patients will be enough to keep our chins up. 患者的一个笑脸，就会让我们振作精神。
第三，我们可以说keep one's pecker up。Pecker也是spirit的意思。 Keep one's pecker up意思就是保持振作的精神，保持乐观的精神。
我们来看2个例句：Though he failed in the examination 1, Tom kept his pecker up and went on studying hard. 虽然汤姆考试不及格，但他振作精神继续努力学习。Don't be distressed 2 by this defeat. It's just one of those things. You should keep your pecker up and make a greater effort to achieve success. 别为这次失败烦忧了，这是难免的事。我们应该振作精神，为取得成功而更加努力。
注解1：Go on doing sth意思是继续做某事。例如：They just go on repeating the same few simple phrases. 他们就是不断重复同样几句简单的短句。如果后面接名词的话，就用go on with sth。例如：Go on with the treatment. It is doing you good（对某人有好处，对某人害的表达是do sb harm）. 你要继续进行这种疗法。它对你是有效的。I can't go on with my writing, my pen is broken. 我不能继续写了，我的笔坏了。
注解2：Make an effort是努力的意思。例如：You'll get better as long as you are willing to make an effort. 只要你愿意努力你一定能恢复得更好的。We must make an effort to preserve our forests. 我们必须要尽力保护我们的森林。Achieve success是“取得成绩”“取得成功”的意思。
