Lesson Seven:How to say "毛骨悚然"in English?

现在我们开始第七课的学习。Lesson seven: How to say "毛骨悚然" in American English? 第七课：“毛骨悚然”，美语怎么说？
“毛骨悚然”这个短语在我们中国文学上广泛流传沿用。古代文学《东周列国志》中写到：“清王闻之，不觉毛骨悚然”。现代文学巴金老先生的作品《春》中写到：“淑英看到毛骨悚然，淑华看到怒气冲天。”若是您跟一位美国作家谈论期这些中国名著，那还真得好好学习how to say "毛骨悚然" in American English.
“毛骨悚然”中的“悚然”意思是“恐惧的样子”。身上毛发竖起，脊梁骨发冷。用之来形容十分恐惧，极其害怕。So , how to say it in English? We might as well listen to the following sentence: It was that movie that have ever made my hair stand on end. 就是那部电影曾经使我看后毛骨悚然，至今还记忆尤新。在这个句子中，用了一个含有使役动词make, m-a-k-e的一个动词短语结构来表述“毛骨悚然”，它是：make one's hair stand on end. Hair 是毛发，stand on end是竖起来，make one's hair stand on end连在一起就是：被吓得毛发都立起来了。It is similar to saying "be scared to death" （被吓死了）。How vividly 1 American use it to give a description of what a man looks like when he's frightened.
Let's look at two more sentences to get a grasp of it in order to use it with ease 2. １ It really makes my hair stand on end the moment I think that I've been alone in that building in the darkness．每当我想起我曾经独自一人在黑夜中呆在那幢楼里，我就毛骨悚然。2 It made my hair stand on end when I know my wallet had been stolen. 我知道我钱包被偷了，我吓得浑身毛骨悚然。
