This morning I would like to share a sentence pattern with you which is : Somebody does as if somebody did. 这个句式表达的意思是：某人.......，好像.......。

Let's make a sentence to get grasp of it. Look at this one: He talks as if he knew everything. 他夸夸其谈，好像世界上的事儿他无所不知。
In this sentence, as if is an idiom. It's used to describe somebody or something looks like. It means " in a way that suggests something ". It can be used to introduce a clause 1 which is called a predicative clause. However, some grammar specialists think it is an adverbial clause. No matter it is a predictive clause or an adverbial clause, it's fine that we keep this sentence pattern in our mind and we can use it when we want to describe something is with appearance of something. And do remember subjunctive must be used in the predicative clause.
在这个句子中as if 是一个惯用语，它用于描述某物或者是某人看上去如何。它可以用于引导一个从句，这个从句称为“表语从句”，但是也有专家认为它是“状语从句”。那么，不管它是表语从句还是状语从句，我们记住这个句型就行了，当您要描述某物看上去如何时，某人看起来如何，您不妨用上这个句型。但是一定要记住在这个表语从句中要使用虚拟语气。今天我们要讲到的是对现在情况的一种虚拟，那么大家可以看看上面的那个句子，主句是he talks, 谓语是talks, 使用的是一般现在时；从句是：as if he knew everything, 谓语是：knew，使用的是一般过去时。由此可见，如果是对现在情况的一种主观认为（非客观事实），表语从句要使用一般过去时。
