 U.S. presidents are elected every four years. Members of House of Representatives every two years, but there is November election day every year and 2013’s was yesterday. In different states and cities people cast votes for governor, mayor in different ballot 1 measures. Those are votes on certain issues. We don’t have the results because the polls closed after we produced this program. We want to focus on one ballot measure in Colorado. 11 counties in that state were voting on whether to succeed to split off and form a 51st state. If it passed, we still have to be approved by the Colorado legislature and U.S. Congress. No one really expected it to pass, not even the people who supported it. They said the point of vote was to send a message about how some people in rural Colorado feel disfranchise ignored marginalized because a greater focus on urban areas.

At least 11 rural counties north of Denver now threatening to succeed. 
 
They don’t see a way to actually move the state back in publican control. The figure maybe just leaving it as the only other option. 
 
Political Science Professor S said the succession movement is an example of Republicans toward the minority in the state, taking s measures.  In Colorado, Democratics have controlled the senate, House and governor’s office. While supporters of the referendum know there is no practical implication from the vote. They say it’s a sure way to get attention for their cause. But not everyone agrees with the strategy. 
 
The best strategy for dealing 8 with political issues is the political system. 
 
W the high profile C Republican is among those frustrated 9 and he plans to vote against the 51st state imitative. 
 
I think what we need to do is to make sure that we are work doubly hard to get the focus on listening out of office and make sure that are voices of her.
