英语中后缀（Suffixes）的用法

后缀就是一个或一组英文字母，加在一个单词的结尾就能够组成新的单词。今天我们就来学习‘-able’，‘-ous’和‘-ly’这些后缀的用法。
Selling 的动作被称作Sale
在sale 后面加上后缀 "-able"就可以将它变为一个形容词。
It is a saleable oyster 1. It is able to be sold.
这是一个可销售的生蚝，它可以被卖出去。
"adjustable 2"这个词中也用到了"-able"这个后缀。
Adjust 的意思是调整或改变某物的位置，使他们位于正确的位置。
在这个词的词尾加"-able"就可以将它变成一个形容词。
They are adjustable lines. They are able to be adjusted.
这些是可调整的线路，它们可以被调整。
另一个形容词常用的后缀是"-ous"，例如"continuous"。
We need to continuously grade oysters 3.
我们需要不断地给生蚝评级。
'Continuously' 这个词有两个后缀： '-ous' 和 '-ly'.
下面是"continue"如何变成"continuously"的过程
· Continue (动词，verb) + '-ous' = Continuous (形容词，adjective)
· Continuous (形容词，adjective) + '-ly' = Continuously (副词，adverb)
n.牡蛎；沉默寡言的人
- I enjoy eating oyster; it's really delicious.我喜欢吃牡蛎，它味道真美。
- I find I fairly like eating when he finally persuades me to taste the oyster.当他最后说服我尝尝牡蛎时，我发现我相当喜欢吃。
adj.可调整的，可校准的
- More expensive cameras have adjustable focusing.比较贵的照相机有可调焦距。
- The chair has the virtue of being adjustable.这种椅子具有可调节的优点。
