When I was younger I was in an organisation 1 called the guides. Guides are girls who are between 10 and 14 who get together once a week to do things like have competions and play games and go camping and generally just have fun together. I really enjoyed being in the guides. There's a similar organisation called the scouts 2 for boys although I think these days girls can be scouts and maybe boys can be guides - I'm not sure. Anyway I used to go camping quite a lot with guides. I remember I went one weekend and it was the same weekend as my birthday and I was going to be 13 that weekend. We had a really good weekend and we cooked different things and we played games and we didn't really get much sleep as you generally don't when you're sleeping in a tent with a lot of people your age you tend to stay up all night.
我小的时候参加过女童子军组织。这个组织的成员是10岁到14岁的女孩，我们每周聚在一起做些事情，比如参加竞赛、玩游戏、野营，一起度过愉快的时光。我真的很享受在女童子军组织里的时光。还有一个类似的男童子军组织，不过我认为现在这个时代女孩也可以参加男童子军，而男孩可以参加女童子军组织，不过我不太确定。我以前经常和女童子军组织一起去露营。我记得有一个周末我们去露营了，那个周末是我的生日，当时我就要13岁了。我们度过了非常愉快的周末，我们做了多种不同的食物，还一起玩了游戏，我们睡觉的时间没有很多，一般来说和很多年龄相仿的人一起睡在一个帐篷里的时候，通常都会整晚不睡。
So on my birthday which was the Sunday, everybody sang Happy Birthday to me and they gave me a cake and they wrote on a card for me and I had a really nice day. That evening I went home and I was so tired and I started to unpack 3 my things. And then the doorbell rang and my friend arrived and then one by one - it was very strange- all of my friends arrived, and what had happened was my parents had organised a surprise birthday party for me! I was so excited but I was also very smelly 4. I hadn't had a shower for the whole weekend. We had a great time, we went bowling 5 and it was really a day to remember.
我生日那天是周日，所有人都给我唱了生日快乐歌，他们给我准备了蛋糕，而且给我写了祝贺卡片，我真的过的很快乐。那天晚上我回到家以后非常累，我打开包收拾东西的时候，门铃响了，我的朋友们一个接一个地过来了，那非常奇怪，我所有的朋友都来到了我家，因为我父母为我准备了一个惊喜生日派对！我当时非常激动，不过我身上有味道。因为我整个周末都没有洗澡。不过我们还是度过了很棒的时光，我们一起去打了保龄球，那真是难忘的一天。
