In one of the most disturbing allegations, Amnesty International claims the Nigerian military executed more than 640 prisoners who has briefly 1 escaped after Boko Haram attacked a detention 2 center in Giwa in 2014.

The group says the man in command of operations that day was Major General Ahmadu Mohammed.

Amnesty says the evidence is clear.

When the report was published in June, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari wrote on Twitter that the allegations would be investigated.
