It is notoriously hard to predict where new technology might take us. 新技术将把我们带往何处,谁都说不准。

For example, I could never have imagined that a truffle farmer, of all people, would use personal DNA machines. 举个例子,我从来没想过一个种松露的农民,怎么会需要用到个人DNA检测设备。

Truffles are this delicacy 3 that stems from a fungus 4 growing on the roots of living trees. 松露如此美味,源于一种在活的树根生长的真菌。
