Astrology is an ancient practice, and appears to have its origins in Chaldea, thousands of years B.C. By 700 B.C., the Zodiac was established. A few centuries later, the Signs of the Zodiac were very similar to the current ones.
占星学的出现由来已久，貌似可以追溯到公元前数千年之前的卡拉迪亚王国。到公元前700年，十二宫图已经形成，并在几世纪之后，发展出了与现行相似的符号标记。
According to astrology, mankind are not only influenced by hereditary(遗传的)factors and the environment, but also by the state of our solar system at the moment of birth. The planets 1 are regarded as basic life-forces, the tools we live by, as well as the basis of our very substance. These planetary forces take on different forms, depending on their zodiacal positions and on the way they relate to one another.
依据占星学，人类不仅受到遗传因素以及环境的影响，还受其出生时太阳系所处的状态的影响。行星被看做是生命之本，是人类赖以生存的条件和物质基础。行星对人类的作用以不同的形式表现出来，受其黄道带位置及其与其他行星间的关系的影响。
One popular classification 2 of the Signs of the Zodiac is elements(象)， which are also known as triplicities（“三位一体”) and speak to the basic nature and temperament 3 of a sign. There are four elements and their corresponding 4 signs are Fire（Aries, Leo and Sagittarius）, Earth（Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn), Air （Gemini , Libra and Aquarius） and Water (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces).
