Anthony Hamilton ，打从10岁稚龄就在教堂唱诗班一展歌唱实力，他一直都是别人眼中明日之星的候选人，1993年启身前往纽约一圆歌星梦，被当时孕育多名黑人歌手如Mary J Blige、Jodeci等人的超级名厂Uptown Records招揽旗下，1995年原本要帮已经录好专辑的Anthony发行宣传，但是唱片公司营运不佳，专辑也随著公司结束营业而胎死腹中！自己音乐事业在无任何转机下，转作嫁于别人专辑当中，其中Donell Jones、Sunshine Anderson、2Pac、Eve、D′Andelo...等歌手畅销作品，都可发现Anthony的创作与合声。饶舌超级乐团The Roots排行畅销名曲Po′ Folks，担任最重要的演唱桥段，受到葛莱美奖青睞，入围「最佳饶舌合唱曲」奖项。
这首歌作为插曲，在电影《舞出我人生》中出现，为影片增色不少。
