Is Britney Spears going to be on?
There was a rumor 1 that I had heard that she was gonna be on this show. And the second I heard that, I thought how in the world do you work Britney Spears into the Emmy telecast. And I don’t know the answer to that. I, I do not see it in the rundown. I have not been told I have to do anything for Britney Spears.
However, I was down there today, and you know, it's typical panic and there are closed-doors and people running around. So, I don’t know, if she is going to be on, I assume 2 I’m not a part of it because I don’t know anything about it.

The American Idol 3 judge Simon Cowell and others said they could take her under their wing for 6 months and give you a new Britney Spears. Think So?
We were sitting in a press conference in San Diego during the American Idol auditions 4 the other day, and Simon said he'd like to, to manage her and said come on, guys, let’s do it. I, I think she is in a position to have one of the greatest comebacks: a pop star has had the opportunity to have, ah, you know, she clearly is somebody that, that can perform, that can do it and she can sell record, she’s done it. But question is what would she do to get back to that place. There are some people who are rooting for her but that you know that look like it was in slow motion 5.
Why do you think she did that?
God, there, there why do I think she has done a lot of things over the last few months. I don’t know, I think she probably felt like she was ready and when you watch it you, you get the sense that she may have needed another week or so to get ready for that telecast.
