For me this point of view is just heartbreaking

The United States leads the world in technology and in big ideas

We do not sit by and let other country show us how to innovate

Workers in China and India will soon demand a higher quality of life along with more real income we want you to show them how to make that happen
中国和印度工人马上就会要求更好的生活质量会有更多的实际收入我们需要你们去给他们展示 如何实现这些
When you hear people saying that we do not need to lead
可能有些人会说 我们不需要起领导作用
that we should wait until the rest of the world has taken action stay calm and dismiss that argument at once
我们可以等到世界其它国家先开始行动请保持冷静请立刻抛弃这种想法
You have work to do You have to get out there and change the world
你们需要努力你们需要自己去改变世界
As you may know I spent an evening at Eastern Kentucky this year
你们可能知道今年有天晚上我是在东肯塔基度过的
debating a creationist who doesn't accept the scientific discoveries that we embrace to run our society
同一个神创论者辩论他不接受我们用于维持社会运转的各种科学发现
Neither do he nor many of his followers believe in climate change

And not for any especially good reason, they just don't

And it would've been just a claimant count involving me and a man with very limited critical thinking skills

But he and his followers seem to control millions of dollars

and a great deal of this country's politics and they are not alone
