I open my car door and throw my briefcase 1 in the back seat, and get comfortable for my drive. 我打开车门，把公文包扔到后座上，然后调整了一下，让我开车舒服一点。
I put my coffee mug into the cup holder 2, put the keys in the ignition, find the gas pedal, and start the car. 我把咖啡杯放在杯托上，将钥匙插入点火开关里，找到油门踏板、然后发动汽车。
My wife drove the car last night, so I have to re-adjust the rear view mirror and the side mirrors. 我妻子前一天晚上开过车，因此我得重新调整后视镜和侧视镜。
I turn on the radio to listen to the drive time traffic report. 我打开收音机收听上班高峰期的路况播报。
I take the transmission out of park and into reverse, back out into the driveway into the street, 我把车档由驻车档挂到倒车档，把汽车从车道倒到大街上，

And that only took 40 minutes! 从家到工作地只花了40分钟！
