If you work at a big company, usually you are divided into smaller groups that work on the same topic — the same type of work. 如果你在大公司上班，一般你会被分到工作类型相同的小组里。
So, there is an accounting 1 section and there is a sales section. 因此，公司里会有会计部和销售部。
One way to describe those smaller groups is an area, 描述那些小组的一种方法就是区域。
so people in your area would be people who work next to you on the same things that you do. 因此，在你区域的人便是和你一起做相同事情的人。
"I go to the parking garage and get into my car. I signal my turn onto the street." “我走到停车场，然后上了车。我打开转向灯，开上了大街”。
To signal, "signal," means to indicate, and in a car it means to turn on what we call the blinker, "blinker." “Signal”是“指示”的意思，而在汽车里，它的意思是打开我们所谓的转向灯（blinker）。
The blinker is what indicates whether you are going to turn left or right. 转向灯是你要向左开还是要向右开的指示。
So, when you are driving your car and you want to make a turn, you have to signal, are you going left or are you going right. 因此，你在开车、想要转弯的时候，你必须要打开转向灯，你要往左开还是要往右开。
And of course, in the back of the car, there's a little light that goes on and off, we would say it flashes, "flashes." 当然，在汽车尾部，有一盏一亮一灭的小灯，我们会说它在闪光（flash），
To flash means to go on and off quickly. “Flash”意味着灯快速地亮和灭。
