To finish up is really the same as to finish, but we love in English to use those prepositions as part of these two word verbs. “To finish up”就是“to finish”的意思，但在英语中我们喜欢用这些介词来作为由两个单词构成的动词的一部分。
So, I finish up, meaning I finish doing what I need to do, and then my wife goes into the bathroom and cleans up. 因此，“I finish up，”意思是我做完了我需要做的事，然后我妻子走进卫生间去洗漱。
"In the meantime," meaning while my wife is doing that, "in the meantime," "meantime," (all one word) "I walk into the bedroom and get undressed." “与此同时，”意思是当我妻子正在洗漱的时候，“与此同时（meantime），”（一个字）“我走进卧室然后脱下衣服。”
So, when my wife is in the bathroom, "I walk" — at the same time — "into the bedroom and I get undressed." 因此，当我妻子在卫生间的时候，“与此同时，我走进卧室然后脱下衣服。”
To get undressed is the opposite of to get dressed. 与脱衣服相对的是穿衣服。
So, if you get undressed, you take off your clothes. 因此，如果你脱衣服，就是你把身上的衣服脱掉。
"I put my dirty clothes" — the clothes I was wearing — "in the hamper 1 and I put on my pajamas 2." 我把脏衣服——我穿着的衣服——放进脏衣篮里，然后穿上了睡衣。
A hamper, "hamper," as a noun, is a place, usually in your bedroom or bathroom, where you put dirty clothes or dirty towels; we call that a hamper. 脏衣篮（hamper），作名词表示一个地方，通常在你的卧室或卫生间，你放脏衣服或脏毛巾的地方；我们称之为脏衣篮。
