你认识在中国工作的外国专家吗？
You：No, language is a real barrier between Chinese and foreign experts. As more and more people learn English, however, foreign experts can share their knowledge more easily.
不认识。语言是中国人和外国专家之间的一个障碍。但是随着越来越多的人学习英语，专家们就能很轻松地发挥他们的作用了。
David：I agree. The language barrier is a roadblock to potential cooperation between foreigners and Chinese. I feel that since many foreign experts came to China to work, they may have not studied Chinese before. They only know English so they might be isolated 1 from the real China.
我同意，语言障碍妨碍了中外进一步合作。我觉得很多外国专家来中国工作以前，可能根本没有学过中文，他们只会讲英语，所以可能很难真正了解中国。
You：Right, it’s isolating 2. So, how can people break through this isolation 3 and start getting through to each other? This is an urgent topic to put in front of people.

David：It is an urgent toopic, indeed.

You：Now English has gone global. It is not limited to people in England or the United States. In more and more countries people are using English. So maybe this is how to do it.
现在英语正在成为世界语言。它的使用者不再仅仅局限于英国人和美国人。越来越多国家的人开始使用英语。所以可能这就是解决之道。
David：There are two solutions: encourage foreigners to study Chinese and encourage Chinese to study English!
有两种方法：鼓励外国人学中文和鼓励中国人学英语。
