The local share market started the session flat but is now trading lower following Wall Street lead. If we take a look at the figures,the All Ords is down 26 points or about half percent.The ASX 200 offers a little more down 27 points.The Wall Street took a tumble after the European central bank failed to announce dramatic stimulative 1 measures at its meeting overnight.The Down John lost 13 points to finish at 17,900.
Checking commodities,gold is shifting 1,204 US dollars an ounce,Tapis is down to US$71.40 a barrel.And the Australia dollar is down below the 84 US cents but currently buying 83.87 US cents.
Activity in the construction sector 2 declined so sharply in November that's now in contraction 3.The index compiled by the Australia industry group and the housing industry association adds it drop 8 points to the level of 45.4,so anything below the level of 50 indicates the sector is shrinking.The report says the decline is driven by a whole activity and new orders across all areas of the construction including housing and apartments.
