And leading our news this morning, former Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks has heckled the Attorney at a vent 1 in Sydney.
George Brand was speaking at the human right’s awards when Mr. Hicks shouted from the audience that he’d been tortured for 5.5 years during his detention 2. Their burst follows the release of a damning US Senate report into the CIA’s interrogation methods after September 11.
“What do you have this right about, you know who I am, we know each other. Would you make comments of my question?” David Hicks there.
Victorian Health Department has issued a warning about a dangerous drinking on unpasteurized milk. The department has confirmed that a child died recently and four others became ill after drinking a cosmetic 3 milk product. It says unpasteurized milk can cause a potentially fatal / illness.
Police were investigating the death of a man who was found blood-even injured behind / hospital in Sydney’s southwest overnight. An off-duty doctor found the 29-year-old who had head and leg injuries, and died later in hospital. Police are questioning a 30-year-old man who was arrested at the scene.
Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl shot in the head by the Taliban has received her nobel peace prize in Oslo. The 17-year-old is the youngest-ever Nobel laureate and shares the award with Indian child rights campaigner Kailash Satyarthi.
