如news的单独读音是[]，但在复合词newspaper中却读[′]，[]中的[]在复合词[′]中由于受后面清辅音[]的影响而清化变成了[]。又如：used 1 to短语本该读成[ ]，但受后面[]的影响，浊辅音[]变成了[]，而[]又影响[]的读音，使其清化变成[]，所以现在应念成[ ]。
1． Before I eat dinner, I read the newspaper for a while. 在吃饭前，我看一会儿报纸。
2． We read the newspaper every morning. 我们每天早晨读报纸。
3．A：He is not what he used to be. 他已不是旧日的他了。
B：Don’t worry. You’ll get used to it in no time. 别担心，你很快就会习惯的。
4．We used to go there every year. 我每年都去那儿。
5．Our company used to do business with theirs. 我们公司过去和他们的公司常有业务往来。
