After their summit of June, US President Donald Trump 1 said he expected Kim Jong-un to immediately begin giving up his nuclear weapons. When he lands, which is gonna be shortly, I think that he will start that process right away. Five months later, Kim not only has failed to start that process and earnest, there’s mounting evidence he continues to build more weapons.

在6月的特金会结束后，美国总统唐纳德·特朗普表示自己希望金正恩即刻放弃核武器。他落地后，也就不久后，我认为他会立刻开始该流程。5个月后的今天，金正恩不仅没有开始这个进程，而且证明他依然在研制更多核武器的证据越来越多。

On Monday, the Center for Strategic and International Studies said it identified at least 13 undeclared North Korean missile operating bases, including this one near the Demilitarized Zone. North Korea has placed a great deal of time, money and resources into its ballistic missile force which is called a strategic force. It believes that this is probably the greatest deterrent 2 to prevent a future invasion by South Korea or the United States.

周一，战略与国际研究中心称其已确认了13个未对外公布的朝鲜导弹作战基地，其中包括非军事区附近的这个基地。朝鲜将大量时间、资金和资源用于研发其弹道导弹部队，也就是朝鲜的战略部队。朝鲜认为，这很有可能是最大的阻碍，让韩国和美国以后都无法入侵朝鲜。

Since the Trump-Kim summit, there has been no nuclear breakthrough though there have been scattered 3 successes. North Korea did follow through on a promise to dismantle 4 key parts of a missile test site， and relations between North and South Korea have improved steadily 5. But for many analysts 6, it’s no big surprise the North has not given up its ballistic missiles.

自特金会结束后，无核化进程一直没有进展，虽然偶尔有成功。朝鲜确实兑现了诺言——将导弹试验场的关键部件拆除了，而且朝韩关系确实在稳步改善。但很多分析家对朝鲜并未放弃弹道导弹一事感到毫不意外。

Much of this, we already know, we certainly already knew that North Korea sort of intend on continuing their missile production program, and that there was no actual commitment between the United States and North Korea to end it.

很多情况，我们都已经知道了，我们当然之前就知道朝鲜有意向会继续自己的导弹研制项目，我们当然也知道美朝两国并没达成实际的承诺来实现无核化。

Despite the lack of progress, President Trump remains 7 publicly optimistic. We’re very happy how it’s going with North Korea, we think it’s going fine, we’re no rush. Trump has said he would like a second summit with Kim, but that plan was complicated last week when a meeting between US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and a senior North Korean leader was called off at the last minute with no reason given.

虽然进展不多，但特朗普总统对外界表示持积极态度。我们很高兴能看到朝鲜的进展，我们认为现在一切都还不错，我们不会求之过急。特朗普表示自己想跟金正恩进行第二次会晤，但其计划在上周变得复杂起来，因为美国国务卿迈克·蓬佩奥和朝鲜某高层领导的会议在最后一刻取消了，原因不明。
