I don't really think he meant it; it's a shame to see Ireland go out because, you know, it's got such great fans and so passionate 1. But you know, these things happen in football,  and you know, whatever is right and whatever is wrong, but I really don't think he meant it.

Who knows in that situation, you know, you are playing in a World Cup qualifier to go through to the World Cup, you know, it's such a heated emotional moment and you don't know what you are doing in games...you know I've been involved in big games, intense situations and I've reacted to certain things, I 've looked back at it and I often thought "Wow, I was wrong to do that", but you know, like I said, I've watched it, I don't think Thierry meant it, but he is a good person and a great player.
