他们是怎么啦
Mr.Knott was a teacher.He taught in a big school in London.
诺特先生是一名教师。他在伦敦一所规模很大的学校里教书。
He lived a long way from the school,
他的住处离学校很远，
so he was usually quite tired when he got home.
所以到家时，他总觉得很累。
At nine o'clock one evening,when he was in bed,
有一天晚上九点，他已上床睡觉的时候。
the telephone rang in the hall of his small house,so he went down stairs,
大厅里传来了电话铃声他走下楼
picked up the telephone and said,
去接电话说:
"This is White bridge 3165. Who's speaking, please?"
这是白桥3165号，请问您是谁？
"Watt 1,"a man answered.
"瓦特，"一个男人回答。
"What's your name, please?" Said Mr. Knott."Watt's my name,"was the answer
你叫什么名字，"诺特先生说。"瓦特是我的名字。"那个男人回答。
"Yes,I asked you that,What's your name?" Mr. Knott said again.
"是的，我问你叫什么名字？"诺特又问了一次。
"I told you.Watt's my name," Said the other man."Are you Jack 2 Smith?"
"我告诉你了，瓦特是我的名字。"对方再一次回答。"你是杰克史密斯吗？"
"No.I'm Knott," answered Mr.Knott.
"不，我是诺特。"诺特回答。
"Will you give your name,please?"Said Mr.Watt."Will Knott" answered Mr.Knott.
"能告诉我你的名字吗？"瓦特先生问道。"好，诺特。"诺特先生答道。
Both Mr.Watt and Mr.Knott put their telephones down angrily and thought,
瓦特先生和诺特先生都很不高兴地挂上了电话，并且都认为对方：
"That is a stupid 3 man!"
"真是一个蠢人！"
