A:Are the ceremony and reception held in the same place?
A:婚礼和婚宴在同一地点举行吗？
B:No,not usually. Most people are married in a church, and then the wedding party and guests go to another place for the reception. Sometimes, however, they hold the reception in a big room in the church.
B:不一定，通常不在同一个地方。大多数人都在教堂举行仪式，然后再到别处举办婚宴，但有时也在教堂的大房问里举办婚宴。
A:Where do they go?

B:Either they go to a public place such as a hotel, a restaurant, or a club, or to the home of the bride.

A:The Chinese custom is to go to the groom 1's home-just the opposite.

B:Oh! In our country the bride's family is responsible 2 for the entire wedding-arrangement, costs, etc. So the reception is held at her home.

B:Many American fcrthers joke that they would rather hold the ladder for their daughter to climb down and elope than pay for a wedding.
