听歌学英语:做个优雅的小妞 Grace



想同大家分享一个小故事：某日下班回家，因为工作的事情一路很消沉，神情异常严肃，也许脸上的表情过于悲伤，怪惹人怜爱的，才会出现一个神一般浑身散发着光芒的男子从天桥上腾云驾雾来到我面前，递给我一张漂亮的小卡片，不记得他当时说了些什么，嫩黄的卡片上清晰地写着：“这个世界，真有一位上帝，他爱你，并且紧紧拥抱你，从此……你不再孤单。”一个陌生人，一张小卡片，短短几行字，却给我莫名的温暖！故事情节似乎有点洒狗血，对于我来说却是一道心灵般的鸡汤（Chicken Soup for the Soul）！我不是基督徒，也不信任何教，请允许我送上这样一首音乐，表达内心无比的感激，来自美国基督流行女歌手Laura Story的《Grace（恩典）》送给大家！





My heart is so proud. My mind is so unfocused.

I see the things You do through me as great things I have done.

And now You gently break me, then lovingly You take me

and hold me as my Father and mold me as my Maker 1.



I ask you: “How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down?

And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abound 2?”

And as long as you’re seeking My face,

At times I may grow weak and feel a bit discouraged,

knowing that someone, somewhere could do a better job.

For who am I to serve You? I know I don’t deserve You.

And that’s the part that burns in my heart and keeps me hanging on.



I ask you: “How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down?

And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abounds 3?”

And you answer: “My child, I love you.

And as long as you’re seeking My face,

You’ll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace.”

You are so patient with me, Lord.



As I walk with You, I’m learning what Your grace really means.

The price that I could never pay was paid at Calvary.

So, instead of trying to repay You,

I’m learning to simply obey You by giving up my life to you

For all that You’ve given to me.



I ask you: “How many times will you pick me up,

And as long as you’re seeking My face,

我是如此骄傲



但我的精神又是如此涣散



我仿佛看到了那些我曾帮你做的事情



但如今你就那么温柔地让我心碎了



然后又爱怜地抱起我



你如天父般拥抱我



又如陶匠般塑造我



我问你说，“当我一直让你失望的时候



你还会再拥抱我多少次？



每一次我都没能让你感到骄傲



哪里还会有原谅？”

发生那次小卡片事件之后，一次很偶然的机会听到这首《Grace》，旋律优美，嗓音温婉动听，听着听着，然后想起大学毕业那会儿，受教法语的法国老头的影响喜欢上“硬汉大叔”海明威激情澎湃的乐观主义精神而写出的与Grace under pressure（重压下的优雅）有关的论文，于是，一种刻骨铭心涌上心头，带给我无与伦比的的力量。歌曲选自Laura Story08年的专辑《Great God Who Saves 》，歌词比较感人，如果试着从基督徒的感受去看待这首歌，不论对生活，还是灵性的成长，都会得到更大的信心。
