高效能人士的七个秘笈

 　　1.Work backwards 1 from goals to milestones 2 to tasks.

　　Writing “launch company website” at the top of your to-do list is a sure way to make sure you never get it done. Break down the work into smaller and smaller chunks 3 until you have specific tasks that can be accomplished 4 in a few hours or less: Sketch 5 a wireframe, outline an introduction for the homepage video, etc. That’s how you set goals and actually succeed in crossing them off your list.

　　2.Stop multi-tasking.
　　停止一心多用。
　　Switching from task to task quickly does not work. In fact, changing tasks more than 10 times in a day makes you dumber than being stoned. When you’re stoned, your IQ drops by five points. When you multitask, it drops by an average of 10 points, 15 for men, five for women.
　　快速地变换各项任务并没有什么用。事实上，一天之内变换十次以上工作任务只会让你晕头转向，不知所谓。当你被转晕的时候，你的智商会下降五个点。人在一心多用的时候，平均智商会下降十个点，其中男性下降十五个点，女性下降五个点。
　　3.Be militant 6 about eliminating distractions 7.
　　消除分心要像消灭敌人一样。
　　Lock your door, put a sign up, turn off your phone, texts, email, and instant messaging. In fact, if you know you may sneak 8 a peek 9 at your email, set it to offline mode, or even turn off your Internet connection. Go to a quiet area and focus on completing one task.
　　锁上门，挂上“请勿打扰”的牌子，把电话、短信、邮件、聊天工具全部都关掉。如果你觉得自己会忍不住偷偷瞄一眼邮件的话，那就把邮箱设置成离线状态，再不然就不用联网。到一个安静的地方去，专心致志完成任务。
　　4.Schedule your email.
　　规划查看邮件的时间。
　　Pick two or three times during the day when you’re going to use your email. Checking your email constantly throughout the day creates a ton of noise and kills your productivity.
　　每天给自己定出时间来查看邮件，一天两到三次就够了。频繁地查看邮件会产生很多噪音，也会使你效率低下。
　　5.Use the phone.
　　多用电话。
　　Email isn’t meant for conversations. Don’t reply more than twice to an email. Pick up the phone instead.

　　6.Work on your own agenda.
　　根据自己的日常安排完成工作。
　　Don’t let something else set your day. Most people go right to their emails and start freaking out. You will end up at inbox-zero, but accomplish nothing.
　　不要让其他的事左右你的工作。很多人一看邮件，就开始精神亢奋。到最后却发现，收件箱里什么都没有，自己一天的工作也一事无成。
　　7.Work in 60 to 90 minute intervals 10.
　　每工作60到90分钟后休息一下。
　　Your brain uses up more glucose 11 than any other bodily activity. Typically you will have spent most of it after 60-90 minutes. So take a break: Get up, go for a walk, have a snack, do something completely different to recharge.
　　大脑活动比其他任何身体活动更消耗能量（葡萄糖），特别是你在工作60到90分钟后，消耗的能量最多。所以，这个时候就该休息一下，站起来，出去走两步，吃点小零食，做些完全与工作无关的事情来为自己充充电。
