1. I can't stand her because she is a high-maintenance woman.
Maintenance 这个词指的是维修、保养。汽车保养在英文里就是 maintenance。而所谓的 high maintenance 指的就是保养维修的费用很高，通常被用来形容女人很爱花钱，对自己很好，她们像一部设计精密、需要时时维修的机器。在王文华写的《蛋白质女孩》中，有一段写到高维修女子，就是从英语的 high maintenance 直接翻译过来的。
实际使用中，只要把 high-maintenance 当成一个形容词用就行啦！你可以说"She is high-maintenance."或是 "My mom is a high-maintenance woman."。
如果我们要形容一个女孩很难侍候，有大小姐脾气该怎么说？很简单，就说"She is a princess."各位想想公主会是怎么个样子？当然是很难养的啦！不过如果老美跟你说"She is a princess."时，你要注意听他的语气，如果是讽刺挖苦的话当然就是指这个女孩子很难伺候，不过有时"She is a princess."也可以用来形容一个女孩子很高贵，气质出众。所以不同的语气可以代表不同的意思，请注意。
2.She's got him wrapped around her little finger.
用来形容女生把她的另一半管得死死的就用 whip 这个词，例如我们可以说：She's got him whipped. 或是 He is whipped.。但老美还有许多生动的成语可以用来形容这个“残酷”的事实。例如：She wears the pants in their relationship. 或是 She's got him wrapped around her little finger. 都是同样指“她要他往东，他绝对不敢往西”。还有一句：She's got him eating out of her hands. 意思差不多但不太常用。
3.Have someone wrapped around one's little finger 的用法不只限于男女关系，平常我们要说某人对我“言听计从”或是“百依百顺”时用的也是这句成语。
4.She's a ballbreaker.
Ballbreaker 是一个形容女生的专用字眼，意思就是她总是会用一些事情来烦人。这种女人就可以被称之为 ballbreaker。你除了可以说：She's a ballbreaker. 之外，也可以说 She really busts 1 my balls. 大家应该知道这个 my balls 是指什么 ball 吧！所以才要加复数。如果你觉得讲 ballbreaker 或 balls 不雅的话，还有一种用法，"She's always on my case."意思也是一模一样的。
5.My girlfriend is so neurotic 2.
常看到有人把“神经质”翻成 sensitive (敏感的)，或是 emotional (情绪化的)，或是 on edge (紧张兮兮的)。这几个词的意思都很接近，只不过提醒大家一下，neurotic 这个从 neuron (神经元) 衍生出来的词才是正牌的“神经质”喔！
例句：We don't get along too well 'coz she is always on edge.（我们处得并不是很好，因为她凡事都紧张兮兮的。）
He wants to divorce her because she is so neurotic.（因为她太神经质了，所以他要跟她离婚。）
