BERLIN, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Japan defeated the U.S. at a seesaw 1 match 3-1 on penalties after they equalized twice a deficit 2 through midfielder Aya Miyama and Homare Sawa to grab the first ever FIFA World Champions title 2011 in Germany in front of some 48,800 spectators at Commerzbank Arena 3 in Frankfurt on Sunday.
