You might just hear something in that sermon that stays with you

If you're a Democrat, spend some time talking to a Republican

And if you're a Republican, have a chat with a Democrat
如果你是共和党人 花点时间同民主党人谈谈
Maybe you'll find some common ground, maybe you won't
有可能你们会找到共识 不过不管有没有共识
But if you honestly engage with an open mind and an open
只要你怀着开放的思想和心灵 诚心交流
heart, I guarantee you will learn something
我保证你总会学到一些东西
And goodness knows, we need more of that

Because we know what happens when we only talk to people who think like we do

We just get more stuck in our ways, more divided

And it gets harder to come together for a common purpose
